Manager DPP Audit – IFRS Standards

The individual is developing specialist know-how and in-depth experience in International Accounting by supporting and addressing both informal and formal consultations from engagement teams and by being an integral part of the on-going development of our audit practice.

Responsibilities & Profile

Your responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to our clients and audit teams on IFRS-related matters
  • Analyze complex IFRS issues and respond to IFRS technical queries
  • Review financial statements prepared in accordance with IFRS to fulfill our compliance function
  • Support clients in responding to IFRS questions raised by stock exchange regulators
  • Assist engagement teams in (client) workshops related to new or revised standards
  • Successfully contribute to and lead various projects (e.g. conversion projects, support in implementation of new accounting standards, etc.)
  • Participate in internal technical networks (e.g. KPMG IFRS topic teams)
  • Develop and hold internal and external IFRS training sessions
  • Support your colleagues in Audit Corporates and Accounting Advisory in their marketing initiatives relating to IFRS
  • As an IFRS expert, you will also have the opportunity to take on a manager role on a listed audit client preparing its consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS
 

Your profile

  • Audit or accounting background
  • 5-7 years of professional experience as an auditor of IFRS consolidated financial statements of (listed) companies in industry or financial services sector
  • Strong analytical skills and solution-oriented thinking
  • Dedicated and convincing personality with entrepreneurial spirit and relationship building ability
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests (consultations) and projects with competing deadlines, ability to thrive in difficult and complex environments
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German is a strong asset
  • Strong team player, flexible, committed to quality and able to work independently
